Achievement testing costs are included for full-time students in 3rd-12th grades. WCA requires testing for grades 3-10, and parents will automatically receive instructions and information at the parent email address on file.
A few states require separate testing, but WCA must require its own testing for 3-10 grades even when taking another test.
WCA feels the ideal testing window is March 2nd through April 3rd.
11th and 12th graders must contact us to request achievement testing if NOT taking a college entrance tests such as ACT, PSAT, or SAT during the year. Please request our WCA school code when registering for testing such as ACT, PSAT, or SAT. Note: WCA does not cover the cost of college entrance tests such as the ACT, PSAT, or SAT.
Annual achievement testing provides parents a basis for measuring achievement year to year to determine the academic growth of students. Evaluation of test results aids in setting realistic academic goals and expectations for each student. Testing identifies weak areas needing remediation.Comparison with national norms also indicates if students are performing below average, within the average range, or above average range.
